SEAMIST rejoices as another Filipino Family moves to Thailand

SEAMIST is thrilled that another SEAMIST family has arrived on their field of service! Edah Cordova and her two sons arrived at their assignment in November 2, tired but excited to be where the Lord told them to go just over a year ago.
They will settle into learning the Thai language and learning to live comfortably in the Thai culture. Edah has already expressed a heart felt concern and love for the Burmese Shan refugees living in north west Thailand and hopes to be able soon to teach them and to share the good news with them.
Edah and her late husband Rodel came to work with SEAMIST as missionary trainee assistants in 2003 and worked with other missionaries as they prepared to go for field service. They helped other trainees plant churches "for practice" as well as working in the training center. In 2007 Pastor Rodel established a church among the Aeta Negritos of Negros Island that has grown into several churches. Unexpectedly, he died of liver cancer in July, 2008.
Edah soon felt the Lord directing her to open a new chapter in her life and to go to Thailand to work there to extend the gospel to unreached people groups there. She is a courageous and bold witness for Jesus, and will surely succeed in sharing the good news. Please pray for her as she adjusts to life in a foreign culture with her two young sons. She is seeking the kingdom of God and His righteousness first, and knows that the blessings of God are hers. Pray for much fruit in her life.
