Most America adults have heard about the "killing
fields", but few know or care that they were in Cambodia. Evil men with evil
motives have struggled for power at the expense of millions of Cambodian people during the
past few decades. Genocide and civil war have surely prepared the people's for the
peace and joy Jesus gives, but there are only a few Christian workers in Cambodia, and
they are only allowed to carry out social work
The church is tiny, barely in existence, and only in the
cities. Much help could be given in the form of spiritual warfare and
training. Thousands of Cambodian Christians live in the USA. Perhaps there is
a way to reconnect them with their ancestral home. More social workers could get
in. Short term trips could be made to assist the church... Somewhere there is
a man of God who can envision an innovative approach that will begin the church planting
process in this hard, dark, sinful place. Could he be You?
Our Prayer for Cambodia: "Oh Father, by the thousands
the Cambodians have been slaughtered and sent on to a Christ-less eternity. You, Oh
Lord, have seen them die, have heard their cries, have witnessed the horrors of the
genocide in their country. We know that this is not your plan, but this is the work
of the Enemy, the Accuser. Oh Lord, stop the killing and replace the fear with
peace, the lies with truth. Redeem for Yourself a people from among the millions of
lost souls in Cambodia.
"Lord of the harvest, please prepare the soil of the people
of Cambodia's hearts to receive the gospel, and send workers to reap a harvest of souls.
Strengthen and encourage Your church. Let You wondrous love shine into every
Christian heart and through every one of those hearts into this dark place. Thank
you, Jesus, for loving Cambodians so much You died for them. Let your blood have
it's perfect work completed in thousands and thousands of their live soon, in Your Name we
pray. Amen"
