The Bajau Kagayan, also known as the Sama Mapun, are of the same people group as the East Coast Bajau.  They are seafaring people (known as "sea gypsies") and fish in the Sulu Sea by the Philippines and Sulawesi, Indonesia.   They are nonaggressive people who usually retreat from trouble.  They live on their boats or on the coast in houses that are built over the sea on stilts.  Their livelihood comes from the sea through fishing.

 Prayer Points:

  • Ask the Lord of the harvest to send out labors to this people group.
  • Pray that the Lord will reveal Himself to them in visions and dreams.
  • Pray that those Christians who live close to them will share God's goodness and message with them.
  • Pray that more intercessors will be raised up to intercede for these people.
